Upgrading from version 15 (or earlier)

Version 16 introduced a new phrase file format. When updating from any earlier version, the old phrase file in the *.pxp format needs to be converted into the new *.pexdb format. The regular installer tries to automatically convert the file for you. If this should fail, proceed with this step by step procedure:

1. Retrieve the old *.pxp phrase file storage location.
2. Download and Install the new version.
3. Import the old phrase file into the new version.

Repeat above steps if you used the old PhraseExpress version with using multiple phrase files.
