Azure Entra

PhraseExpress supports Microsoft Azure Entra (formerly "ActiveDirectory") for access restrictions.

When logging into Entra in PhraseExpress, PhraseExpress requests the minimum necessary rights to ensure that it functions properly. However, some permissions must be approved by the administrator for the PhraseExpress application.

To ensure that PhraseExpress also works with Entra for normal users, follow these steps:
  1. Log in to the Entra Admin Center with an administrator account.
  2. Navigate to "Applications » Enterprise Applications » PhraseExpress » Permissions"
  3. Click on "Grant administrator consent for [Company]"
To log into Azure Entra:
  1. Open the PhraseExpress main program window
  2. Click on "Login" in the top-right corner
  3. Select or log into your Microsoft account in the brower popup.
  4. Close the browser window.

Your identification is now based on your Azure Entra credentials. Consequently, you will no longer have access to phrases that are restricted based on your Windows user name.

To log out of Azure Entra:
  1. Open the PhraseExpress main program window
  2. Click on your account name in the top-right corner.
  3. Select "Log out" in the popup.
  4. Select your Microsoft account in the brower popup.
  5. Close the browser window.

Your identification is now based on your regular Windows user name. Consequently, you will no longer have access to phrases that are restricted based on your Azure Entra credentials.
