No Macro Button

Postby bobdorris » 19 Mar 10, 17:38

I just purchased phrase express v7.

When I create a new phrase, there is no macro button to click like there is in the video. I'm trying to automate an email.

I can't find a contact # to get support without paying for a support ticket... which I shouldn't have to do since I just purchased it and it's not functioning as it did in the promotional material.

Please help.

If the macro function button is missing then most probably you are using the PhraseExpress Easy Edition that has no support for macro functions as described at http://shop.phraseexpress.com

If you need macro functions, you can purchase an upgrade to the Standard or Pro Edition at http://upgrade.phraseexpress.com

Wow, the advertising was very misleading. During the entire process I went through, from receiving an email promotion, to downloading the free demo, to watching the instructional videos, then making the purchase...

...it was never mentioned that I wouldn't get all the features that I was being shown in the videos. If there was any mention, it was very subtle.

I think it's a great product, but you should really take care of that. I was going to tell people I work with about it, but hesitate now because I feel I was manipulated (whether intentionally or not).

Please have a look at the screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/MjJkMzc1

We thought it would be obvious that a red cross would tell that the feature would not be included while a green checkmark indicates that a feature is included. We are sorry if this is too confusing or misleading and would appreciate your feedback to learn how to make it more clear.
Kind regards,

It would have been clear if I had ever been to that page, but I was never directed there.

The best way to understand it is by following the path I did...

I received an email from Iconico, offering the Phrase Express V7 Easy. Bear in mind, I had never heard of the product, so would not know there was more than one version.

That email specifically referenced the product "Phrase Express" 7 times, and only used the word "Easy" twice. No mention of these being 2 different products.

Or, program PhraseExpress to insert your entire signature line, inspirational quote and all, just by typing 'sig'.

Full Details about PhraseExpress v7 Easy

I clicked on the link in their email, went to their web page which also advertised "Phrase Express" and uploaded the demo,( which should have been a demo for the product they were offering.) I watched the video tutorials in the demo, which are tutorials specifically for "Phrase Express" and are called by that name.

I went back to the Iconico site and made the purchase. Nowhere during this entire process was it mentioned that these were 2 different products, and the term "Phrase Express" shouldn't have been used liberally when it was "Phrase Express v7 Easy" that was being sold. And I was never directed to the page you mention.
